Find your 30! Here are 10 easy ways to fit more exercise into your day!

We all know exercise is an important part of life, but sometimes fitting it into our busy schedules can make it feel like a bit of drag. Rather than thinking of it as a chore, think of it as an opportunity to move! Changing some current habits in your daily routine could see you get an extra 30 minutes of exercise into your day. Here’s some tips on fitting more exercise minutes¬†into your day:

  • Need milk? Walk or ride your pushbike to the local shop rather than driving. Need to do the groceries? Why not ask someone close to you to collect you from the supermarket after you’ve walked there and done your shop?
  • Park the car further away from your destination to get some extra calorie burning in!
  • Stuck at the office all day? Take a 30 minute stroll during your lunch break. Great for your mind as well as your body.
  • Love sitting down after dinner to watch your favourite show? Exercise while you watch! (Or even just in the ad breaks!)
  • Get off the bus a stop earlier. Walk the rest of your distance.
  • Take the stairs instead of an elevator or escalator.
  • Make the next family outing something active, like a group bike ride, or roller-skating, ice-skating, hiking, you get the idea…
